Estimated Due Date
A Special Journey in Qatar
Congratulations! This is such an exciting time for you and your family. In Qatar, families are deeply valued, and the care provided is world-class.
How is the date calculated?
Most doctors use the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) to estimate the due date. A typical pregnancy lasts about 280 days (40 weeks) from that day. This calculator also takes into account your cycle length to be a little more precise.
First Steps to Take
- Register for Care: If you're a resident, you can register for maternity care at your local Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) or hospitals like **Sidra Medicine** or **Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC)**.
- Rest and Hydrate: Qatar can be warm! Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and staying cool.
- Ask for Help: Don't hesitate to lean on friends and community groups for support.
Friendly Note: Please remember that only about 4% of babies are born exactly on their due date! This is just an estimate to help you plan. Always follow the advice of your doctor or midwife.
